Man, I really miss that show and Angel.
I've seen every episode of Buffy and am working through seasons 2,3, and 4 of Angel. Once I'm done w/ those DVDs, I'll have nothing else to look forward to.
Maybe one of those Angel movies they were promising.

the creation of buffyverse is f*ckin genius. great writing, great shows. once you're done watching angel, its no substitute but try out firefly. also, with the recommendation of a few members here, wonderfalls is another great show created by tim minear (an extension of the buffy family).
what have you heard about a new angel movie? if you're a fan of joss, he has a new movie serenity (firefly) coming out soon and has just been chosen to direct wonder woman.

Not so much seasons 4, 5 and 6 of Buffy.
Five was the WORST! Glory was a lame villian!

I've seen the Buffy episodes quite often, and it played itself out quite well. Plus Buffy's little sister annoys the piss out of me.
Now Angel, that was killed before its time. There could have truly been some awesome television had it continued for another season, or longer. Season 5 was a fucking masterpiece almost all the way through.

Oh yeah! I hated Dawn with a passion. The Initiative didn't compare to the horrid idea that was Dawn Summers!
Hinny, Buffy's mom dying was an excellent point of writing in season 5 as well. I did like the final battle with Glory too. I think that was the first time Buffy was able to break concrete w/ her fists.
Here's a book that I really enjoyed:
Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Philosophy: Fear and Trembling in Sunnydale, edited by James B South. It's a great collection of essays from fans of the show.

I own all the Buffy DVD sets, and rarely do I watch seasons 5 and 6, mostly because of Dawn. The end of season 6 is awesome with Darth Rosenberg, but since it takes 15 episodes to get there, eeesh.

Andy Hallett, who starred as Lorne ("the Host") on the TV series Angel, died of heart failure last night at age 33, his longtime agent and friend Pat Brady told E! Online.
