the intro was perfect-"this is the opposite of the last song" (just breathe)
i dont think ive ever felt eddie vedder's voice like this before. it was like every empty space in the spectrum was filled w/ his voice. i dunno, its hard to explain. id say "powerful" but it was something more than that. so yeah, powerful and then some.
sorry chud, you can take it from here

I need to see this live just once. Oh well. Warehouse thanks for that description. I hope the bootleg does the song justice.

Three of the last four times its been played now (which dates back to 2004, far too long a time for only four plays), I've missed PW by one show. I think it will be the one song I am just destined not to hear in person. :/

I got it in Grand Rapids 06. Pretty incredible.
I've also been lucky enough to catch 3 of the 9 live performances of "Around The Bend". Very lucky.
Every time's there's thread about parting ways i brag like a year old, but its just cuz i love the song so much. Seen it 5 times (Detroit '00, Seattle 1 and 2 '00, Boston 2 '04, GR '06). Can't tell you how lucky i feel, especially that I caught it the only time it played on the 04 and 06 tours.

Why is it that some have so much, while others have so little?
hehe i've also seen it twice at eddie solo shows (toronto 1 and albany 1). there's nothing like internet jealousy to make a man feel like he's lived a worthwhile life.

In 50 years time when DeLima is old and sad, he's going to look back on his life:
Healthy : he'll suffer from long cancer from smoking too much like his youth idol Rich : he lives in the gutter and has to beg on the streets to make a living Succesful : well, he's good at begging… Married to a superhot wife : sometimes he gets it from another begging ugly fat african woman on the street Beautiful healthy kids : he has a kid from that african wife, but he has never seen it other than in jail Seen Parting Ways as much as possible: yes

thats probably the best way to summarize it, just watch it. it still doesnt capture how enormous it sounded in the spectrum, but thats as good as it gets right there.
