I thought it was worth bringing this "topic" up because of how easily people toss around "moral values" and like to use them to feel justified in their positions.

1. a system of ideas used to justify one's actions while also used to condemn those that might offend them.
2. An abstract term that is used so subjectively that its former meaning is lost entirely.

Interesting, I don't think I've ever seen anyone define morality with "doing well for yourself" being any part of the definition.

Yeah, but it's in EVERY religion because it is the greatest truth about human society.
Maybe the Christians stole this from the pagan religions where they got everything else.
