Hi everyone,

I worked really hard on an article about one of my all-time favorite
songs, "Angel", and I wanted to make sure all the hardcore PJ fans got a
chance to read it.

http://www.twofeetthick.com/2009/12/fan ... el-part-1/

Part 2 - that is, Side B "Fuck Me in the Brain" - will be real treat, and
I'm going to publish that tomorrow.

I'm going to email a few other lists and forums, so sorry in advance for
the "PJ spam" ;) Please let me know if you have any other information to
add.

Enjoy!

I'm not the biggest fan of the song, but that was a great read. As usual, I'd say. Good work!

Bravo. One of my favorites. Really hope it reappears in a set list some day.... especially if I am in attendance that evening. :D

Great write up.

the stuff on 2ft is always worth reading :) Nice job. I remember the first time I heard angel on some bootleg I bought (those pre interent days) and remember wondering how the hell a song that good could be so obscure

Great write up JR.

A part of me wishes Ed did more of this type of lyric writing. It is magical.

It's been a while since I've listened to this track, but I can still hear Ed's vocals so clearly in my head.

Part 2 for "Fuck Me In the Brain" is up. I read the NSFW sticky, so i didn't embed the video, but keep in mind the article includes a YouTube video with about 50 f-bombs and the c-word!!

The NSFW policy here really doesn't apply too much to language. It's more about not posting pics/videos with naked girl or boy parts.

I'm sure you're right.

But that's a damn shame. I think the song is just so wonderful. And it's the song that got my wife into PJ. So it holds an extra special place in my heart.

Oh yeah, I'd love to see the band announce a special guest one day, have Dave A. stroll out with an acoustic guitar and have he and Ed break out "Angel".

I don't know what poor Dave did to annoy the band so much, you think they would've buried the hatchet by now...

Jack's played with them twice since leaving the band and also at one (or two?) of Ed's solo shows.

06/03/03 – Verizon Wireless Amphitheater: Irvine (Los Angeles), CA
Jack played drums on RitFW and Matt played guitar

10/28/03 – Santa Barbara Bowl: Santa Barbara, CA
Jack played In My Tree and Hail, Hail. In fact, i forgot all about this one.

Jack played with Ed & Flea in May '07 in LA & was supposed to play with them at Bridge that year too. That was the time Ed had to pull out right before the appearances.

I really would love them to resurrect this.
