3 seconds left the other team is down 3. freshman shooting foul shots.
kid goes to the line and sinks the first, misses the second on purpose, softly off the back of the rim. they get the rebound and put back with .7 seconds left to tie it.
vandy then inbounds the ball on a full length court pass to a man wide open under the basket for the lay up and the win.
in-fucking-creidble
play #2
last night or night before. state championship in minnesota. around 5 seconds left in the game, and on the far baseline a scrum for a loose ball, and the one kid for the team down 2 falls on the ground, with his chest/back on the three point line. hes visiably pissed about missing the ball when lo and behold the ball floats towards him, and from his back he launches the shot to tie it at the buzzer

You gotta give credit to the Vandy player making that inbound pass to his teammate under the basket. It was perfect. In my opinion it was more impressive than Grant Hill's inbound to Christian Laettner.

i think what made laettners more impressive, is he is from the ACC, and he had a guy on him

Laettners shot was more impressive, I was just talking about the pass.

The best thing about Laettner's shot was that it climaxed the greatest game in NCAA history.

I didn't even get to watch this game. I had a stupid baseball tournament I think. I got home just as Hill was about to throw his stupid pass to that faux Olympian Laettner.

I want to see the play the kid made from his back.
I remember the Duke-Kentucky game like it was yesterday. My dad was in the hospital and I stopped in to visit and had somewhere I was supposed to be shortly after. I planned on being there for 10 minutes or so and the second half had just started. I ended up sitting there watching the rest of the game with him and blew off whatever plans I had. It's things like that that make life special. He died the next day.
*I made the last part up but the rest of the story is entirely true*

I watched that Vandy game last night cause i had Witchita St plus 7.5
Amazing play but a more amazing botch on the defensive end.
As for the best shot ever. The kid who tied the game the other day by shooting the ball from his ass at the buzzer was the greatest thing i've ever seen. You could try that shot 100 times and maybe hit it about 5 times. It's a little different too when the game is on the line.

My fav b-ball play.
Inbounds play under their own basket. Kid at the low block same side as the imbound pass falls to his knees and gets on all fours and starts barking like a dog. Everyone looks to see what the f is going on. They pass the ball to the other low block who has an easy lay up because no one was watching him. Greatest coaching move EVER.

you see the one high school play this year when the team is down 2 with 2 seconds left and the inbounder is trying to heave it downcourt. The ball hit the defender in the head and bounces back to the inbounder who heaves a fullcourt shot to win the game.
