We've learned Jay's 10:00 PM show will go on hiatus February 1. After the Olympics, Jay will take back his 11:30 PM time slot. What has not been decided -- whether Jay's show will be a half hour, followed by Conan, or whether Jay's show will be an hour and NBC says sayonara to Mr. O'Brien.
We're told Jay and Conan have both been told of the changes. As for Jay, interestingly, he'll get what he always wanted -- his 11:30 PM time slot.

Leno's not funny. People like, know this right? I'm assuming they can't, because this means somewhere, someone watches his show and, for some reason, laughs.

The only people who watch Jay Leno are your average, everyday, American simpletons. The kind of people who need jokes explained to them. And those people, like Leno, suck.
I hope Conan at least had a clause in his contract that stated if he were forced to relinquish his spot he would still get that $40 million payday.

I'm POSITIVE he has that clause. This was a long drawn out plan and no way he would have stayed at NBC without a guarantee of some sort.

The network has a plan in the works to restore Jay Leno to his old spot at 11:35 each weeknight for a half-hour, while pushing the man who replaced him, Conan O’Brien, to a starting time of 12:05 a.m. Mr. O’Brien would then have a full hour.
That's so fucking lame.
