The biggest league we've had had 8 people. We usually (not always) like to keep the club games within the circle (its usually more fun that way) so we usually create two clubs that just go head to head with each other wether it be 2 vs 2, 3 vs 3, or 4 vs 4. we need more people to get full teams against each other. Goalies are welcome.
ooo reincarn8 is on my list, i was wonderin who that was haha
they should just call darksiders god of war.. same gameplay exactly.. story may end up bein kinda cool tho....
yeah, it looks like darksiders is god of war meets zelda

Yeah, there's some stretch play that always works, and a few underneath passes. The only time I've won against someone who used those was when I kept it close and took up all the time at the end of both halves. Otherwise I usually just get scored on immediately after taking the lead.
you can usually find a play that stops these, even if it's absurdly, unrealistically difficult to do so at times. if they keep throwing quick 2-3 yard slant/underneath routes, run a dime and run man and you should be able to stop it... i think that's what i did (unless i'm misremembering; i know i had to put in Dime or Quarter though to get a DB on him). the problem seems to be that your players are retarded when running zone and refuse to sit on it, and your LBs are too slow to run man against a WR. i remember a guy running that against me over and over every play when i was playing online at a friend's place... i think the guy might've scored on that drive but after that he couldn't hit the play. not sure if this was madden or ncaa, but the concept should apply to either.

been playing through this one for a while now. I should probably get back on the MW2 horse but i'm just not feeling it right now.
Know what ya mean about not feeling MW2 right now, past few nights I've just had some real shitty games online. I think I need to give it a bit of a break... but I can't put it down lol.
tell me more. my biggest fear here is that it will be like the first Mass Effect. The reviews said they fixed everythign that was broken. I always thought the first Mass Effect looked great but I just didnt find it to be FUN.
I'm gonna hold out a little bit longer because the first Mass Effect got good reviews as well...and so is this one.

goddamn HL was some good. I've still got all those old discs i should run through them again some time. I got so into that game that i go all the expansion episodes (Blue Shift and Opposing Force) and they were some of the only PC games i actually purchased. Good times.

i'm playing the ps2 version which was ported three years after the pc one came out. not sure what the differences are or how much worse it is, but either way i'm probably not doing this game justice. the ps2 one has to randomly load a little too often, but it has a "quick save" feature which is ultra convenient.
i know this such a legendary game, but i've never been a pc guy. what're some of the reasons it was considered great?

i think the ps3 version might have upgraded graphics, etc.
HL was one of the first FPSs to get rid of the individual level design and immerse you in the game by not having any breaks in the gameplay for cutscenes, end of level load screens, etc. it paid a lot more attention to the the story (and its delivery) than other games of the genre at the time (back when story was a paragraph in the manual).

i'm reading the wiki...says in development they had trouble landing a publisher because folks thought the game was too ambitious. i'm really looking forward to the sequel and its episodes on the orange box.

Ironically, the thing that really killed the immersion for me was the incessant loading. With the exception of Left 4 Dead, Valve games are awful with the random, periodic loads. I played HL well after its prime, and I didn't find it to be all that great. Half Life 2, on the other hand, was awesome.

yeah.. the loading sucks, but you do what you can with the technology that was out at the time. i think if i tried to play HL now i'd probably get pretty impatient.

A lot has been improved and enhanced in the sequel. The action, as in the first person shooting, is a lot better. I like the new use of the paragon or renegade character element. But what has really impressed me so far is the writing. It has just outstanding dialogue, I'm saying this is really some of the best dialogue I've experienced in a video game.

Oh man, HL2 is going to blow your mind when you get to it. The original will probably feel a bit dated now but it was way ahead of it's time back then. Also, it's not really necessary to get into the expansion packs i mentioned as they don't offer a whole lot in terms of overall story development, they're really just an alternate view of the events of the main game if i remember correctly. I'm not even sure if they made them for PS2 actually.
