The third movie written/directed by Judd Apatow. Starring Adam Sandler, Seth Rogen, Leslie Mann, Jason Schwartzman, and Eric Bana. This looks great. Opens July 31.

Here is the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24VVnvrjI8w

There is also a minor character in the movie, a comedian named Raaaaaaaandy, played by Aziz Ansari. This is the guy all the kids will be quoting.

I've never found his movies to be over-saturated with pop culture references. Sure there are some, but not as unbearable as Family Guy has become, for example.

to me a lot of the scripts feel lazy, and family guy is a tv show, which generally can push those things farther because they have a whole season to write. though i can't stand that show either

Aziz made me hate him from his character on scrubs.

I'd give it three out of five. Very funny in parts, but too long and the funny and serious parts didn't mix well. Also, Seth Rogen making dick jokes is just getting a wee bit tired at this point.

I did remember thinking it was long, but I never felt like I wanted the movie to end sooner.

I have no problem hearing him make dick jokes as long as they are at least amusing, but thats just me.

Well it's not just him, it's like everyone in the movie uses the same cadence and the same style of humor. Like "I just fucked the --- with my cock" or "the thing about my balls is ---." After a while it's just not that funny anymore.

Randy was great though, pretty much a perfect satire on guys like Dane Cook and Carlos Mencia.

none of the stuff i've seen in commercials has looked all that funny except the IKEA one was slightly funny and the Harold Potter joke was clever (though the phD in wizardry joke sort of sucked).
the prank calls part (saw it on the CC special) looks pretty funny though.

"Harold Potter" decently funny, the other two jokes not funny. Didn't see the prank call.

This movie isn't a comedy. It's a drama about comedians. The jokes the comedians tell are beside the point.

That said, I think it's Apatow's best work so far.

I think you are pretty ok.

P.S. James Taylor rocked this movie.
