No way this lives up to expectations but I'm still pumped.

thanks for the inspiration to go watch the original streaming online (or if the quality sucks i might go up to the library and get it) instead of reading the world is flat.

I watched Wall Street tonight after dickfan suggested it. Even if you don't work in finance, that movie is awesome. There are multiple references to technology (large cell phone, outdated computers, handheld portable TVs) that are absolutely hilarious. At one point gecko says something about how the future is going to be amazing! Little did he know...

It's funny how Charlie Sheen and Michael Douglas look pretty much the same today. The movie is over 25 years old!

I sure did and I hope you are reeling with shame from the embarrassment I put upon you. :P

That said, I haven't seen the original either so I just added it to my Netflix queue.

it's for a class. anyway, just watched the first one. pretty good. too much soapboxing but that's about it, especially the

Spoiler: show
michael douglas rich people run the world this aint democracy

scene annoyed/bothered me. not too much but it was just a bit too blatant.

It came out the same year as Superman IV: The Quest for Peace and Robocop. Not a good year for subtlety.
