Anyone knows?? coz this is really beginning to frustrate me.. not the copy thing itself, I have no problem with buying the cds, it's just that with the copy block thing on, I can't get the cds over on my minidisc... which is a problem, since I mostly listen to music on my minidisc.. especially with the benaroya hall, this is just pissing me off! so, anyone knows how to remove that thing??

3 easy steps:

1. unplug computer
2. throw computer out window
3. go buy new computer

I think there used to be a couple threads on this on the old board.

I'm not sure off hand, but I know Macs and iTunes will rip most protected cds.

Plextor drives also read them.

As far as altering the cd itself with marker or tape....I'm not sure I would even try that!

Someone will have a site for you though....

i thought you could rip the cd into mp3 or some other format and just burn it like that.

yeah, I thought so too.. someone once told me that if I pressed ctrl + del, or something like that, it would be removed, but it didn't work... my problem is that the cd won't run at all.. it's like the computer don't know it's there.. tried with cds without a block, and it worked, so I guess the block is the problem..

I'm totally useless with computers, so would have been great if someone knew what to do..
