watched an episode yesterday. ive seen bits and pieces here and there, but yesterday really it me.

mike starr, former bassist with AIC is on there this season and the poor guy is killing himself over laynes death. he described how he was dead for 11 minutes, no breathing, no responses, and he woke up to layne punching him in the face crying trying to get him to wake up. then they did a retreat where the celebs had friends or family join them to talk about how their addiction affects those that love them.

Nancy Staley (im assuming thats her last name) was there to support mike. mike hadnt seen her since laynes death and is blaming himself for it, because layne was there for mike when he died, why couldnt mike be there?

Nancy gave a really gut wrenching speech that i dont think anyone dismissed, not even dennis rodman. if you can, check it out.

these kind of shows, i think are great. all too real and tragic. the celebrity part adds another layer, which i suppose adds a bit more interest.

Despite hating most reality TV, my girlfriend loves this show. She was explaining this episode to me this morning so I think I might actually keep my eyes open for a rerun. My girlfriend is a recovering alcoholic and she said the whole thing really got to her, made her a bit teary eyed. Very powerful stuff according to her.

Rehab is for quitters.

I've seen every episode this season and the one with Layne's mom was pretty powerfull. Dennis and Kari Ann sure make it an interesting season.
