Just got the new issue of DEEP in the mail. I'll write more after I read it.

I got an e-mail from 10C saying that they sent it out,...and as soon as the band is done with the 2009 single they will be sending that out.

Well, aside from the photography, it's kinda lame, imo. It's mostly Backspacer (Tom Tomorrow) art. There is a couple page interview with Tom Tomorrow, some tour photos Mike took, a couple letters from fans, an interview done by McCready with Mike Ness, the painting contest winners and then the standard 10C stuff. Membership info, renewal, policies, and the goods section.

It's all standard I guess. I just like when at least one of the band members writes a short letter to the fans. The only thing like that in here is a letter from Ed to all the contestants of the canvas contest.

Oh yeah, and a bunch of cards in the back to "make your own membership card". :x

Yeah I really don't give a fuck about the newsletter anymore. I just want my tickets and annual 45.

Remember when the tenclub newsletter had a diagram on setting up a simple radio transmitter?

I think so. I joined in 1999 and it was before then. I had only seen scans of it online then.

Yeah, those old newsletters were really cool. Nice designs, good artwork. While I'm grateful to get anything at all, the magazine kind of sucks.

:z:

Does the band think its fanbase is still 15-24 years old? My interest in the single is even waning a little compared to back in the day. The "deep mags" are pretty useless.

I think the best way to let them know that we're not satisfied with the material they've been giving us is to keep giving them money for it.

i'm pretty sure that no one is giving them the money for deep magazine. we pay for good tickets and a memorial day single. at least i do..

anything else of interest that i get is a bonus.

I agree. I could care less about Deep. I'm in it for the tickets.

Although I wish I got two a year, I have no problems with Deep.

Sure, I'd like a five-way blowjob from the band members to come in the mail, but Deep's a nicely-produced newsletter.

I'm happy to pay 25$ a year for great tickets every 2-3.
