Their gonna be so good this year, Santana is amazing, They have so much young talent, Mourneau will hit 40 HR's, Bartlett rookie of the year, Gold Glover Hunter, Radke is a horse. Great OF, Dominant Bullpen led by Lights out closer Nathan. Whats not to like about this team.
jk....i'm excited about this year also -- Santana is the shit, but i don't get the hype surrounding Bartlett, and Justin will only hit 35 (but he still kicks ass).

The 2004 Phillies are going to be so good this year. Millwood is amazing, they have so much young talent, Burrell will hit 40 HR's, Utley will be rookie of the year, Bell will win a gold glove, Lidle is a horse, great outfield, great bullpen and lights out close Wagner. What's not to like about this team.
Ooooh how things can change... I would be prepared to swallow your words... games are not played on paper

LOL....nice. Watch out for the 2005 Phils! oh wait.....
I have always liked the Twins, but I don't even think they are going to win the divison this year.

Why not? I think that the AL Central will be more competitive than last year, but I think the Twins will still come out on top. If the White Sox pitching performs to its full potential, I could see them giving the Twins a run for it. Tigers and Indians are still too young, maybe next year.

The AL Central will be VERY competitive. I think the Indians are ready to pounce, and the Tigers will be MUCH improved. I'm still not sold on the White Sox, but they could give the Twins fits. I think Minnesota needed to make some moves to stay on top, but didn't. It's going to be a close race.

well for one thing Bowa is an idiot, Milwood is in no way compared to Santana and Burrell isnt the player Mournau likely will be. Although i do know they have to play games, i'm just trying to get some excitement for the season going, should be a fun season, cant wait.

They did make a move, they resigned radke, That was their main offseason goal. Guzman wasnt anywhere near the money they would have had to sign him with and bartlett should step in. Koskie is always injured and Cuddyer has some talent. This isnt the yankees they dont need to go out and sign millions of dollar players, for one thing they cant, and they dont need to with the young talent this organization has. The Indians will be a very good team and should be close with Minnesota but Minnesota has the experience, the White Sox have probably out talented minnesota the last 3 years but dont have the attitude or heart to ever beat em, i'm not concerned with them. Oh yeah and Joe Mauer has yet to be mentioned, that kid is an amazing player.

Yeah i hear ya, but the Twins organization has always seemed to do the opposite of that. But you never what can happen

Radke is not going to bring a world series title to Minnesota. I think the teams around Minnesota got better while they stayed the same. That being said, they are still very good, and I expect them to play that way. I just think it is time for someone else in that divsion to shine, not that I would be disappointed with another Twins Division title, I just think their time is done.

I dont see your point, Their upgraded at Catcher With Mauer healthy. Upgraded at 1B with Morneau being 1 year experienced and only getting better. 2B is the same its always been, SS i think certainly is just as good if not better. 3B probably a step down but i think Cuddyer could surprise. OF is great as its always been. Radke is a very underated pitcher, He eats up a lot of innings and a a veteran. Santana will be even better. They also have many young talented pitchers. Who improved in the Centeral? The tigers, from what though, 4th place, not to hard to improve, do they really have a chance to contend? I dont think theirs anyway u can say the sox improved with Magglio gone and Lee also. Thomas is injured. The Indians are the only ones but what all did they do, add shaky starter Millwood, they have definatly matured much like the Twins but you cant say they went out and improved while the Twins declined.

I never said the Twins declined. If you think the Twins are going to walk away with this division, I think you are sorely mistaken.
DO NOT SLEEP ON THE INDIANS AND TIGERS.

Oh i dont think they will walk away with it at all, I think the Indians will be very good, Tigers I have a tough time believing they can actually compete, but who knows. I just dont think you can say the twins run is ending like everyones getting old and theirs no more talent their, the twins are the favorites this year and could possibly be for many more years. Should be a great season
don't forget they resigned Santana for 4 more years, so he won't be a Yankee until 2009.
but i love my Twins. Whenever they need to replace a player, they can just dig deep into their bag of farm players and continue life as usual. fuck Radke, i hope they resign Terry Ryan to a long-term contract (sorry Brad, you're still my fav #2 pitcher).

i've gotta admit it, the twins look really good on paper to take the division. i'm a tiger fan all the way (it's been real, real, real, really hard) but their pitching is suspect, at best.
let me just jinx the whole thing and say they're running away with it if the opening day lineup remains healthy. imagine stewart playing an entire season. lew ford will be able to basically give the 3 outfielders a day off anytime they need it. they lost no one in their starting rotation or their bullpen. actually, mays is looking better than i thought he would at this point. in essence, they added a former allstar to their rotation this year. they've possibly added a future all star in our homegrown boy, mauer.
stewart, mays, and mauer are all players any team would have been elated with landing in the offseason. by just staying healthy, we're talking about 2 guys who should hit over .300 and a pitcher who has proven he can win 20 games, especially with a reliable bullpen.
if anything, i would like to see them use jacques as trading fodder for a decent 2b. man, rivas sucks at the plate.
