I am pro-choice and FOR ABORTION. if a women gets raped she should have the choice not to have a baby. the fetus isnt living on its own but being helped with breathing and being fed. it has no birth certificate, not a citizen. if it is not a citizen how can it have a death record?

most of all if they take away the right to have an abortion they will take away gay marriage and soon the government will think they can take away all of our right. freedom of speech and expression is already being limited. if they take away womens rights all rights will start to crumble.

feel free to discuss.

Oh boy, this thread is going to explode.

That's why I'm not going to make any other post in here other than this one.

oh boy this will open a can of worms

I was discussing this the other day in class..

I'm tradionally pro-choice because everyone has a right to a choice in any situation and if you fall pregnent in a horrible situation (like rape etc.) then by all means, but in most other cases I think abortion shouldn't be an option.

Also if their is complication with the foetus and their is a high chance of the baby being disbaled in any way then the mothers right to abortion should be considered.

I'm pro-choice simply because its a woman's body, her life, and no-one elses. Otherwise, I totally respect people who are pro-life, although they are often hypocrites (like I said in the other thread, they are generally for the death penalty). I just don't think its a right that should be taken away just yet, rather the culture should make an effort to decrease the number.

Pro-Choice

Again, I'll try to remove the ethical/moral question like Green did.

It is not the government's place to decide what a woman should do with her body.

The choice is a personal one best left to the individual.

I'm extremely pro-choice. I don't give a fuck what you want to do with your body.

Pro-Choice

It seems that large percentage of Pro-Life people are deeply religious. Which would indicate that "murdering" a baby by having an abortion is a crime against their God and what God wants. Why does the government need to be part of this? Why not let the person's God sort this out for them when they die? God will send them to hell if it was the wrong thing to do, and they'll pay for it for eternity. Not everybody has the same beliefs, no sense in enforcing laws that don't take that into account.

I'm definitely pro-choice. Abortion is a tough issue, but it's certainly not the governments job to legislate what I can and cannot do with my body.

Since I don't know the answer to life and can only speculate what's right and wrong, I think a woman should have a right to choose,.. to choose for herself. Is it wrong? I don't know. Plain and simple. Choose for yourself.

Pro-choice as long as it isn't used as a mean of contraception. A woman totally has the right to choose not to have a baby when she gets pregnant in unwanted or unfortunate circumstances. After all, i'd rather see an unborn foetus than a child growing up and feeling unwanted. But i'm totally against partial birth abortion.

I'm pro-choice in how I feel the government should handle it, but I'm personally pro-life in that I find abortion to be terrible. I honestly wish the procedure was never used as a form of contraception, but it is and it sickens me. Abortion should be a last resort behind education, contraceptives, and adoption.

P.S.-I'm completely pro-life in my personal convictions, and I don't support the deatrh penalty either.

Pro-choice. As long as there is still rape & incest on this planet, a female should have the right to decide what to do in case of pregnancy.

I used to be Pro-Life all the way and in some ways I still am, but I came to see how hypocritical it was in some ways. Most pro lifers are christians and most christians believe in the death penalty, yet they also believe that God should be the only judge and should be the only one to take like, I mean its a Ten Commandment for Christ sake. How could they believe in that and then tell someone that its murder and your going to hell if you have an abortion. I believe that abortion should only be used if a woman has been raped, if her life is in danger during birth, or if the baby is severely deformed. In no way do I think a woman should be able to abort a baby just because they had unprotected or even protected sex, got pregnant and just don't want it. You had sex and got pregnant, deal with it.
