Sorry if this is in the wrong section of threads. Please move accordingly.
I have a DVD burner installed and I was wondering if its possible to play a DVD, such as LATG and run another program to record either video or sound. I want to have an MP3 of Yellow Ledbetter or something but don't know if its possible.... Anyone?

Yes it's possible, and you might have wanted to post this in Tech Support.

There are a multitude of free programs that do this, it's quite common. Thanks for the link.
Edit: Ok, I looked at the link and it is way more complicated than the answer to this question needs to be (I think).
I have always ripped DVD audio the same way you would record audio from any video file or streaming audio file. Just use audio recorder software that records off the soundcard. It has always worked perfectly for me and produces high quality sound files.
