Very cool to see Mike with the Roots. I don't think I could be comfortable seeing the Roots be the house band for Fallon.
I had never seen his late night show until this morning, it's pretty brutal. At first I thought he was doing the awkward stuff thing on purpose for some reason, but it never stopped. Bad. Awkward. Painful

stranger, I gave you a whole thread for bitching about the chiche-ness of various band members. Try not infect the entire forum with your rancor, please.

Who else found Mike M's appearance on Jimmy Felon totally pointless? Not that he played or did anything, besides say a word or two...
Or maybe I missed certain parts....only watched the 60 second segment.
You could hear him for a few seconds here and there coming in and out with the commercial breaks. It was OK. Just stock soloing. But the band just promoted Backspacer on SNL. He was still in New York and probably wanted to jam with different people and promote the album and tour a little more. Can't fault him for that. And Fallon's show is known for musical mashups given that the Roots are the house band. They always jam with different guests.
