I was watching MTV unplugged just now and it made me wonder:
When did "daddy didn't give attention" turn into "father didn't give attention"?

Watching some Jeremy performances on Youtube, I would pinpoint the year to 1998.

Here's a 1996 performance where Ed says "daddy":
