I can't see any good coming from that.
I love Eno's early solo albums and his ambient stuff, but I can't see him getting anything decent out of the band.
I think the band have a tendency to over-think and over-produce their stuff this last ten years (and I think Eno would probably make that worse), so I'd much rather see them produced by:
Don't think it would ever happen however. It would sound awesome if it did, though.

could be interesting, but id like to see them stick with obrien for another album. i think they could make a dark, spacey album and he'd really help make a monster out of it also, "eno" is the answer to a LOT of crossword puzzle clues

Nah, Matt's great. They just need to let him play, y'know.
He probably writes the most interesting songs in the band, so I really don't want him to go anywhere.
Matt contributes so much more to the band than any of the other drummers, people just wont let Jack go because he was such a nasty drummer. He brought a different sound to the band which was really cool, but he couldnt hold up live and tbh I think his stuff might have run it's course over time. Matt writes a ton of music(not all of it good but some of it great) and I think he fits the dynamic of the band better than anyone else they've had.

His best work with Soundgarden for me was where he let what he didn't play be the beauty. Fell on black days is a good example. That's a killer, amazing beat, yet it's not a mid tempo tune per se, it's got menace almost, but it's subtle. Pj can never get this kind of tune on for some reason and it's a shame because it sounds like bland mid tempo forgettable ditties sometimes when they do it, but also other than when he's going for it, this kind of playing is Cameron's other great ability when it comes to it. We haven't yet and probably never will hear Pj get to this kind of space sadly. And when it comes to him particularly, it's a real shame

oh and Pj with Eno would be interesting if they had those kindsa soundscapes he's good at but they just aren't that band anymore and never will be now. Back in the day maybe. Not now.

I was saying this all to the lead up to Backspacer but now that I think of it, my favorite sounding Pearl Jam albums (Binaural and Riot Act) aren't really produced by him. The reason why Pearl Jam needs to work with Brendan is because they're too pussy to trust anyone else.

Think about how something like Sleight of Hand or Red Dot could have sounded with Brian Eno at the knobs.
jose chung post
Imagine an album, produced by Eno, full of ideas like Help, Help, Red Dot, Sleight of Hand, Of The Girl, Whale Song, I'm Open, Push Me, Pull Me, Can't Keep, The Wolf (with synthesizer instead of organ), etc. If done correctly and at the proper time in their career, it would have been great. I mean that.
