His 2009 album is excellent. I think it made my top 5 of '09. I need to get the live one.

I haven't followed Bill/Smog's stuff in this last decade or so, but I used to really be into Wild Love and Red Apple Falls - great records.

I saw him a bunch of times in the late 90's/early 00's.

I fell off the Smog wagon after Dongs of Sevotion which I didn't like very much at all.

So glad "It's Rough" is on YouTube, I haven't heard it in years.

Besides having deep registers, I don't find any similarities, neither tonally within those registers nor the way they sing.
