I was listening to this show again the other day...thought I'd post what I was thinking but didn't want to create a new thread for it and this one'll do.
Does anyone think that the mixing on this show is kinda whack?
Ed's vocals and Jack's snare seem really in your face, a bit too much.
Mike is way too quiet as well, he's only really at a decent level during solo's.
It was mixed by Triple J, not the band, I guess that's why.

Ha, true!
That's only been a problem in 2005-2006 though, hasn't it? I don't ever recall Mike being buried in the mix on the 2000 and 2003 official boots.
Ever since the boots went digital, the mixing sounds like arse. I think comitting themselves to turning them out for download only days after the show puts undue pressure on Brett to mix them quickly which means they end up sounding rushed and unfinished.
I'd be happy if they didn't even release any of the shows til after the tour to give them time to mix them to a professional standard (didn't they do that with the 2000 boots?).

Haha, couldn't agree more! One thing I never got about the Touring Band DVD (as well as all the official bootlegs) was where it said "TURN THIS UP" or PLAY THIS LOUD" or some such. You couldn't even if you wanted to.

Listening to this show again now.
Mike's still too quiet, but overall it's still a nicely chunky-sounding mix. Meaty, beaty, big n' bouncy.
"It's not just us tonight, we're on the radio. It's...everyone."
This show holds such gigantic sentimental value for me. I sat in my brother's room taping this off the radio live onto a TDK D-120 until I had to go to bed, it took me years (til I started getting into Pearl Jam boots) to realise they played Indifference after RITFW as my tape cut out.
I still remember listening to this wide-eyed on my Walkman the next morning on my way to school.

AGREED! It was better as 100 Pacer.
I got 100 Pacer at my first ever show: Adelaide 1995. I still have a Kerrang! article from 1995 about the Phillipines show which has a picture of an Asian setlist with 100 Pacer on it, and I thought: what is that? The article was a foldout thing I think with a load of gossip about Dave A gettin' the boot on it, too. Weird.

This was one of the very first boots I ever owned. It was a one disc version that left out A LOT of the middle of the show. They moved SOLAT to the opening track then went to Tremor Christ and followed the set pretty close, then dropped some tunes. Came back in with Immortality and pretty much followed the set on thru.

Love it
Pretty much everything about this show is amazing. I think it was my first non-2000 bootleg and I've probably listened to it 1000 times now. I never get tired of it.
The Release > Last Exit > Spin The Black Circle > Tremor Christ > Corduroy > Not For You > Lukin run at the beginning of the show is batshit freaking crazy. Actually...I might have to pull this out again tonight...

This show is one of my favourite pearl jam shows. The hype of pearl jam touring down under for the first time was insane! I remember being at a mates house and listening to the JJJ broadcast in the backyard while we had a bbq.... awesome memories
i taped this show off the radio too and it was this show that kicked off my pj bootleg addiction.
Adelaide 95 was my first show as well. I remember cutting school with my mates to head down to memorial drive about lunch time to get in line only to find that pretty much everyone had the same idea. Being my first show i didnt know what to expect but we went nuts and i stumbled outta there after being fallen on, crushed and completely deaf.

Good plan!
I was in high school by 1996 and started going out to gigs and stuff that year, had they toured here for No Code I definitely could've wangled going - but I had to wait til 1998 (wonderful gig that was, however).
