 Post subject: Georgetown vs. Nova special on HBO

anyone esle catch this? I thought it was a really well done special on what is one of the biggest upsets of all time.

seriously, how does a team shoot 79 percent from the field? That has to be some kind of record. Also, how does a team shoot 79 percent and only win by two? I guess that shows just how good that Georgetown team was.

And Ewing was a f--king monster in college. The guy was all over the court and was impossible to guard in the paint. If he didn't suffer all those knee problems, he probably would have been an even better pro......and more of a defensive stopper/intimidator....instead of the jump shooter he evolved into in the early/mid 90s.

I didn't see it but I love the shotblocking Ewing much more than the fade away Ewing

great special... hbo does a great job with sport docs.... the 80's miracle on ice and oj specials were great too

I saw just about the whole program and it was awesome. I lived and died as a kid watching the Big East games between G-town, St. John's and the Cuse.

I went to Rollie Massamino's Big 5 Basketball camp the following summer and met Ed Pickney (great guy, great enthusiasm in his presentation), Harold Jensen, and Gary McClain.
