So, it's official, Carlos Ruiz has been traded to FC Dallas.
Damn! They'll score 3 goals a game with Ruiz and Eddie Johnson up top! What a great way to inaugurate the new stadium...I'm United fan, but I'm real jealous!

Congratulations, you just acquired the biggest punk in MLS history (brief I know), and one of the all-time biggest punks in soccer history. Ruiz is such a diver, it's not even funny. One of the Quakes last year (Mullan I believe) got a red card as they were both going for the same ball, and he didn't even touch Ruiz.
I'll be at Spartan on Saturday. Should be interesting when LA comes to town with Donovan.

wait, a Latin American player who dives?! I've never heard of such nonsense!
Bottom line though is that Ruiz scores goals, and lots of them. And now he'll have a consistent strike partner and a solid midfield (I can't believe FC Dallas got Mulrooney too, and Greg Vanney in defense).
by the way, San Jose will suck this year. They've lost everybody! I find it amusing that Donovan would rather try his hand anew in LA than return to San Jose...

Honestly, Mullan kinda deserved that card regardless of whether he made contact. It's hard to even call that an attempt to play the ball when one of his legs was up and about knee level.

Actually, that was his random injury against Colorado last year. Kind of an unfortunate thing. The dude's a bit injury prone, though, especially these last two seasons.
