In my mp3 collection I have a song labeled under Pearl Jam as "Goin' Down (live)"
It's kind of a bluesy, jam song. Reminds me of Steve Ray Vaughn.
Anyway, I must have downloaded this years ago on Napster or something and it was mistakenly labeled as PJ. There's actually a female vocalist near the end.
Did anyone else out here ever download that song thinking it was PJ, and if so, do you know who the actual artist is?

My facts are screwy at best but i believe its a side project of Keith Richards performing and maybe Rod Argent is involved in it as well who was at one time auditioning to sing in the new band Stone and Jeff were forming in 1990.

Isn't it a live recording from 12/31/1992. The night when Pearl Jam opened for Keith Richards.
Quote:
12/31/92 – The Academy: New York, NY [55m] attendance: 5,000 supporting: Keith Richards and The X-pensive Winos set: Wash, Sonic Reducer, Why Go, Even Flow, Alone, Garden, Daughter, Dirty Frank, Oceans, Alive, Leash, Stranglehold jam/Porch notes: Unusual fast version of ‘Wash.’ A short clip of ‘Sonic Reducer’ was broadcast on CBS’s New Year’s Eve broadcast. (One of the cameramen almost does an unintentional stagedive, camera and all.) Ed thanks Keith Richards, saying, “If it weren’t for Keith, Mike McCready wouldn’t even be here.” The rare ‘Dirty Frank’ had not been played previously live in its entirety. ‘Stranglehold’ is a Ted Nugent song. Mike remarks after this jam, “They forced me to play it. I think Ted Nugent is a stupid idiot.” Somewhat reluctantly, Ed and Mike join Keith for his encore song, ‘Goin’ Down.’ [For those interested, the full Winos setlist: Take it So Hard, Eileen, Wicked as it Seems, Gimme Shelter, Too Rude, Yap Yap, How I Wish, 999, Big Enough, Demon, Time is On My Side, Hate it When You Leave, I Could Have Stood You Up, Before They make Me Run, Bodytalks, Will But You Won't, Happy, Whip It Up, Goin' Down (with PJ members and Robert Cray).]

Your right!!...your facts are totally screwy.
1) This is a recording of Keith Richards/The Expensive Wino's/members of Pearl Jam performing a Jeff Beck cover of "Goin' Down"
2) The song is from one of those shows they did with Keith back in 1993
3) Rod Argent is a couple hundred years old and NEVER EVER auditioned to be in Stone and Jeff's band. However...he wrote a song called "Hold Your Head Up" which was a song that was frequently covered by Mother Love Bone in concert.
Oddly enough…Rod Argent did audition once to become THE WHO’s 2nd guitar player around the time of Quadrophenia. Although he never became a member of the band…He eventually ended up engineering and doing some studio work on “WHO ARE YOU”

Wait a second... He's a couple hundred years old AND worked on "Who Are You"? I'm not sure these facts jive.
