Its being published on 12/01/10. Still 6 months away. I'm sure they'll link to it towards the end of summer/early fall.

Yeah, but typically 10c would take your money for it now (MSRP, vs. what Amazon is selling it for) and then ship it in mid-January.

I haven't clicked the link yet. If this is a rickroll, I'm gonna be pissed.

Too late, I clicked it. Might be worth picking up now, because once 10C gets their hands on that thing, it will be more than 15 bucks.

This arrived in the mail today from Amazon. I couldn't resist flipping through as opposed to setting it aside for wrapping and waiting until Christmas. Its wonderful, a great companion piece to the Ames Bros. hardcover.

I'm a little bummed that its not in flawless condition. It was part of an order including a few other gifts. Even with bubble wrapping, it looks like it might have slid around in the box a bit as the spine has nicks and a little of the cover is slightly bent, but I really can't complain.

There are forewords by Jeff and Eddie and the artwork itself is awesome. I'm really happy that more than a few of the posters I've got on my wall are represented here. Its mostly Pearl Jam posters, but there are pieces for Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Built To Spill, Flight Of The Conchords, Eagles Of Death Metal and others. The posters are accompanied by the initial sketches and examples of how the designs evolved.

Incredible artwork. I'm thrilled that this is out there. If you're into art and Pearl Jam, spending $16 is totally worth it.

:nice:

Very pleased. I liked how they showed the "evolution" of most poster designs.

Does anyone know of any site other than Artillary that sells Brad Klausen's works? I'm interested in Escape from Absurdia #7.

I signed up for Artillery recently. Very bummed to see that the EV solo poster of the Evel Kneivel rocket is all sold out.

After initial release, it's pretty much secondary market. He does really limited runs - I think the Escape poster was a run of 150. With his PJ/EV stuff, they usually let him do a small run for himself ("artist proofs") to sell. But, usually, that's it - and they tend to sell out really quickly (at least with his PJ stuff - with the exception of the Portland poster, for some reason).

Btw - he's also selling signed books through Artillery (though they're $25).

The book is great, though I was a little bummed that his awesome Tron poster wasn't included.

The prices for it now are just insane. Earlier this year, it was going for under $100.

Have we figured this out by now? I have a bit of a difficulty with the name if it's not a Smith tribute of some sorts, which it doesn't seem.

Still loving this book. Its gotten way more time than the Pj poster book. Definitely worse ways to spend a few bucks, you should get it.

Hey guys, was there a contest for this recently? A signed copy just arrived at my house, and I don't know why.
