I'm already here. Going to see STP tomorrow night. Gonna be great. The Olympia's only 1500 people and only about 800 are on the floor. Gonna be fab.

Now I get to spend a week in a room with a speakerphone and NetMeeting. Should be riveting.
This sounds like Hell on Earth to me. I'm assuming NetMeeting is a video conferencing thing a bit like Skype?

NetMeeting just lets me see their screen for presentations and such. The worst part is, I'll be hearing that tights ass manager's voice through the speakerphone.

I hate NetMeeting. You should use WebEx. It's so much better.

So, it's like a networking thing. You can go on their network and basically log in to their computer. But remotely, i assume? That's pretty cool. The novelty wouldn't last long, however.

If it's anything like WebEx, you won't be able to log in remotely, you'll just share their desktop-- meaning you see what they see, but can't control it. On WebEx they can give you control of their desktop, not sure about NetMeeting.
Man this thread turned white-collar boring fast

I've never worked in an office (I'm a nurse) so I find shit like this perversely fascinating. True story: I thought cubicles only existed in Dilbert comics for years until I visited my mate in his office and realised he worked in one!
So, yeah, bonny fucking Ireland. Home of the most corrupt politicians (potentially) on Earth. The latest scandel is all these women bein' told their kids were dead in utero, told to take pills to promote expulsion of the foetus, some women refusing treatment, and then giving birth to healthy kids. I think the number is at, like, 200 healthy babies born that were supposed to be dead in the womb. Fucking great, eh? No-one's taking any responsibility or accountablility, of course.
