Does anyone have information about Beth Liebling's new album, that is slated to arrive this year or in 08?

i can't say that i care about Beth's solo career since i didn't know she made something besides Hoovercraft but i'd be curious to hear her stuff - like i'm interrested in Yoko Ono's music you know...

I've never heard any of her earlier work. Is it any good?

I really did love Hovercraft, but I think the best thing was Schema which was Hovercraft and Mary Hansen of Stereolab doing vocals (the one that sadly died in a car accident :( ) I think it was a beautiful album. I really look forward to this new solo album- it will be interesting im sure.

I saw Hovercraft when the came to my town. I'm glad I got the chance to see them; they were a very interesting multimedia experience. I can't say that I'd really want to sit down and listen to Hovercraft regularly, but they weren't without talent. I especially liked Beth's guitarist, Ryan? (Was that his name?)

I'm not sure who she's playing with this time around, but I'm not going to dismiss her out of hand if she puts out a new album.

Hovercraft is beautiful, psychedelic noise.

Amazing stuff!

Did anything come of this?...

I've always meant to check out Hovercraft's stuff, I think I'd dig it.

I just searched YouTube for seconds and found this and it fucking RULES:

Not to get too side-tracked, but it'd be interesting to know how much of an influence Beth had on Eddie while they were together, her impact seems a bit forgotten these days. It might just be my perception, but it seems like some of the more experimental (even "psychedelic") influences on Ed's writing (and the band's overall sound) during the mid-late 90's might be traced to Beth's influence. Interesting, that's the period I probably find the most interesting in the band's history - No Code thru to Binaural.

I loved Hovercraft. However, it's definitely an acquired taste. I saw them 11 years ago in Dallas and to this day it's one of the best shows I have ever been to. . . To those who haven't heard them; think early Pink Floyd from Hell.
If anyone has any info on the solo thing, let me know. I'm really interested to find out about it!

This sort of thing is exactly down my alley, it's kind of weird I never checked them out before.

"Early Pink Floyd from Hell" is the sort of thing I imagine the band of my dreams sounding like.

I just went and bought a second-hand copy of "Experiment Below" off eBay. I'm excited.

From their Wiki:
Quote:
Hovercraft even opened for classic rockers The Who on a short series of stadium concerts in the Northwestern United States in late 1996

God, what I would've given to watch the audience reactions...

Pearl Jam were awesome when Ed was with Beth, Beth was in Hovercraft and they're awesome, therefore I'm putting forward a theory that Beth is pretty awesome.
