Holy Fucking God.

What a fantastic score. This is brilliant. All the criticism heaped upon this music when the film was released is destroyed by the deluxe set. This was the most underrated score of 2009. I am thrilled this version was released. The repetitions make sense when you hear the complete score. The action sequences highlight its effectiveness. It is riveting.

The composer deserves an apology from soundtrack critics. The music from the scenes on Vulcan are phenomenal. And that's just disk 1!!! If critics had been able to purchase this, reviews would have been the opposite of what was written. This is complex and dramatic work.

I couldn't recommend this more highly. I hope they make more than 5000 copies. More people need to hear this! Wow. Just Wow. If you haven't gotten it and you love film scores, order it immediately. It will sell out very soon if it hasn't sold out already.

ps. the presentation is equally beautiful. it's a lovely set for the price. i got it for less than what it's listed for now because i pre-ordered it... but it's worth the $30. Seriously.

it's out in flac. but i gotta have the real thing. i'll only play this via CD in my car. i don't want to rip it.

true - thursday i injured myself (boring story) and an acquaintance had to fetch my new car (cool story). he came out of the vehicle yelling about how awesome the stereo was and how the fucking music just blew his mind. what was it? he just had to know.

it was this soundtrack.

ps. i bought the fusion hybrid. i could have gotten it without the nav system but then the stereo wouldn't have been as good. the nav has the 12 speaker sony. no lie, the first thing i do when i test drive is put in a cd. i buy stereos with wheels.
