Director Ondi Timoner's documentary screened six times at the Sundance Film Festival before being awarded the Grand Jury Prize award in the U.S. documentary category at the Sundance Film Festival.[1] We Live in Public details the experiences of Josh Harris (internet), a dot.com millionaire whose human experiments tested the effects of media and technology on the development of personal identity. Among Harris' experiments touched on in the film is the art project "Quiet: We Live in Public," an Orwellian, Big Brother type concept developed in the late '90s which placed more than 100 artists in a human terrarium under New York City, with myriad webcams following and capturing every move the artists made.[2]
This looks amazing, I think it might have been the inspiration of Synechdoche, NY.

I will see it at the first opportunity my man, looks awesome. You have to remember that even living in Austin The Fall never played in theaters here, so lots of people have to wait for the DVD.

The trailer does certainly look awesome. I'll be back in this thread in a year when its button on Netflix changes from a little green 'Save' into a little red "Add.'

netflix is streaming this now. watched it yesterday. it was interesting but also disappointing. all the tension and foreboding built into it never pay off. mainly it just made me wish i'd been born about 5 years earlier.

This was pretty incredible. The footage of the Quiet installation made me feel ill at certain points.
agreed.
and the whole episode during the We Live In Public project, where he and tanya fought and then took advice from their viewers to settle it, i thought of RM and how we've all turned to "the web" for life directions.
that's what i mean about foresight, it just played out so ahead of time for him and those that were part of his "experiments"...
