I haven't seen Bug or Cache yet, but both are on my list. So, I'm not sure if these are exactly the type of movies you're looking for, but here's three great movies which may fit the bill:

Eyes Without a Face
The Tenant
Lost Highway

I always wondered whether Billy Idol did Eyes Without a Face. I mean I was pretty sure it was him, but there was a kernel of doubt.
