Naaah, it's not for me. For example, I really want to hear Corduroy & Alive at every show possible. But they're totally not my very favourite songs.
Exactly - I love Cropduster, but I know they very, very rarely nail it live, so I wouldn't list it here.
Honestly, I wouldn't complain if they played all of these every single night:
Black Jeremy Animal RVM Better Man
Adelaide 1 '06 was a brilliant gig and one of the highlights was Last Kiss, you really felt it unite the whole crowd - it was a pretty cool thing to behold. You'll never see me complain about "greatest hits" setlists - any show from 1991-1998 may as well be classed a "greatest hits" set, y'know?
I really missed hearing Corduroy, Black, Jeremy, Better Man and DTE at Adelaide 2009. I know a lot of the crowd weren't all that happy with the show (as I was walking out I heard a whole lot of "well, that sucked", "they didn't play anything I knew", etc.) as they skipped a lot of that stuff and I would've been perfectly happy to trade off a few things they did play for a few more hits as I think it would've made for a better vibe - it was wonderful for me to hear No Way, Smile and In My Tree but I think it went over the heads of a lot of the crowd. I think both Adelaide shows in 2006 did a better job of balancing the needs of the hardcore and the casual fan - and hell, I like Pearl Jam's hits and I really want to hear them too.
