Even though one game takes eight hours, it's got to be Monopoly. It's just iconic, and really fun too.

I always end up fighting with whoever I am playing with, quitting and throwing the board across the room with everything on it.

I vote for a German style board game like Carcassone or Ticket to Ride.

people create so many back door deals in Monopoly. I had someone keep a person in the game and paid their rent to me just so they could both drain my money. After I was knocked out at 4am, they merged and "won"
