I've always wondered this about others. I have just about all of their vinyl, and I listen to it all. Most of my "rare" ones I bought already opened, so I figure it's no big deal. The only one I haven't listened to is that orange vinyl "The Fixer" I won last year.
So, do you listen or just collect them?

I would listen if I had a turntable. One day ... I will.

Neither anymore. I collected them all for years and kept them sealed. When I finally got a nice stylus I opened them and transferred them all to CDR. Under close inspection I found them to be the same as the CD's right down to the EQ, which means they are cut from digitally mastered sources and not the original tapes, which defeats the whole purpose of pressing vinyl. In the case of Backspacer, the vinyl sounds worse. It pissed me off so much, I sold all my PJ vinyl (save the xmas shit). Made a killing. No more PJ vinyl for me. It's the biggest scam that PJ have going.

I just told you - I sold it. I needed the room for more real vinyl.
Collect and listen. As mentioned above, some of the new records are the same or worse on vinyl. However Vitalogy, No Code, Yield and ITW I listen to exclusively on vinyl.
Meanwhile, the singles are more for collectibility.

I have most of their albums (minus the expensive ones). I listen though The record player in our living room is easier to get to than the cd player so that's why i choose to use it. Generally, if i throw a PJ vinyl on it's more because i want to hear the songs than worry about the quality.
agree, some don't sound too hot. (i.e. Backspacer)
