Young has directed (or co-directed) a number of films using the pseudonym Bernard Shakey, including Journey Through the Past (1973), Rust Never Sleeps (1979), Human Highway (1982), Greendale (2003), and CSNY/Déjà Vu (2008). He is currently working on a documentary about electric car technology, tentatively titled Linc/Volt. The project involves a 1959 Lincoln Continental converted to hybrid technology, which Young plans to drive to Washington, D.C. as an environmentalist example to lawmakers there.[14]

Does Neil Young have a video that has a similar look and/or feel to this one and PJ just used it as inspiration? Or do you think he was actually involved in the filming of this?

that video = seriously, instead of making half-assed "concept" videos, better apply the less-is-more philosophy. when the camera turns to the crowd before the "GEMS AND RHINESTONES" part, magic happens.

It was a MacBook Air iirc... It was just some guy standing next to Ed and circling himself with a laptop. Nice (but blurry) result, but I still don't get why they didn't just use a camera. Maybe it's a *product placement* thing?
Also, how the hell did I get this update in my Gmail when I never gave 10c my Gmail adress.

Did you use it to sign up for one of the free downloads?
That's how I got on the list twice. I just told them and they deleted out the e-mail I didn't want things going to.

Neil made several videos for his 2009 Fork In The Road album by simply lip-synching to the music while in front of his laptop. The best one is for "Singing A Song", in which he's out on an ocean kayak on a foggy day.
As for using a laptop operated by someone else, I don't get that. I've been using a little flip video camera recently, and I think that would do much better. I see no reason to make a video INTENTIONALLY low quality when a higher quality method is just as easily (and in his case more easily) available.
Video's pretty cool though. Wish I liked the song more.
