I was just gonna top the s6 thread when this when it hit me, well this is an article all about the premiere, might as well make a s7 one for it! :)

Also, there's a film that Hugh shot during his hiatus (though I think part of it might still be going, but him obviously done his part) called "The Oranges" where it reunites him with his favorite season 3 jailbait Leighton Meester. She plays the daughter of a couple that Hugh & his wife are friends with that he has an affair with, and it's the drama that ensues among their friends and the neighbordhood. At least Allison Janney and Oliver Platt are also in the cast (they were in the set photos I saw online a couple weeks ago).

here's what i found so far:
Image
House's seventh season will open with Dr. House (Hugh Laurie) acting like "a teenager in love skipping school," whisking Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) away for an idyllic day without the pressures of their hospital and her child, says House executive producer Katie Jacobs. "Anywhere other than Princeton-Plainsboro Hospital is an easier place for them to be together in a relationship," says Jacobs. "That's where we start — 'What if we only have each other?' As their day goes on, Cuddy will learn that the locales they visit hold a secret significance.

Naturally, the lovers can't avoid reality forever. "It would be impossible for Cuddy to spend every day as if her child and her professional life don't exist; a little easier for House, since he is somewhat of a child himself," says Jacobs. "But what's cool about Season 7 is that House is going to try to stay off drugs and have a meaningful relationship. We don't rush through this. It's taken six years to get there, so this is not a story that's going to be done in three episodes.

The true test will come in Episode 2, when the couple returns to work — where she's always on top. What happens, asks Jacobs, "when you're sleeping with your boss and she says 'No'?" As the season progresses, Huddy will toy with getting domestic — and try to do normal "couple" things with Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) and Sam (Cynthia Watros), which could cause additional tension. "Will the four of them get along?" teases Jacobs.

As for the rest of the hospital staff, while Jennifer Morrison signed a deal to return for a few episodes as Cameron (at the producers' discretion), don't expect her to fill the slot temporarily vacated by Thirteen while Olivia Wilde shoots a film. Rather, a search is on for a new female doc, likely a romantic partner for one lucky surgeon. For Cuddy's sake, let's just hope this new addition isn't House's type.

also, for Iphone users

Exclusives: House iPhone App Spins Off Toward Dramatic Conclusion
Image
Jun 17, 2010 12:30 PM ET

This summer, House fans equipped with iPhones have been having fun downloading comedic mini episodes centered around multilingual character Nurse Jeffrey (Patrick Price) and his vendetta (established at the end of last season's regular TV episodes) to bring down House by gathering bitchy tales from fellow Princeton-Plainsboro staffers with axes to grind. House executive producer Katie Jacobs produced and directed the 13 'appisodes' of Nurse Jeffrey over four days after last season wrapped. They can be viewed on the free inHouse app, with a new installment premiering each Monday at 8pm.

"Nurse Jeffrey has been gathering evidence to bring to human resources and get House kicked out of the hospital," says Jacobs, who says Scary Spice Mel B. told Price she is among those following Jeffrey's exploits. "A lot of the other doctors who have appeared on our show will make appearances, and some are new actors I cast." Among the familiar faces popping up: Dr. Hourani (Maurice Godin), a surgeon who had a very antagonistic relationship with House, Blue the janitor, and Dr. Simpson (Ron Perkins).

As the series nears its conclusion at summer's end, Dr. Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) will be first heard, then seen in the app anthology. And you can also expect a glimpse of the big grouch (Hugh Laurie) himself. "Eventually Jeffrey will want to shift through House's personal stuff," says Jacobs. Will daring to invade House's office be his downfall? We'll have to wait and see.

This storyline will be wrapped up in the 13th installment. Then when House returns in the fall, Jacobs says the hospital will likely see the addition of a new female doc to fill in for Thirteen, who resigns for mysterious reasons (actress Olivia Wilde will be shooting a film). And there might also be a female presence at the hospital in the form of Wilson's ex-wife, Dr. Sam Carr (Cynthia Watros). With their romance solid again, might Carr be looking to park in PP Hospital to be closer to her man?

Here's a pretty cool video I found recently, using that Grounds For Divorce song (made famous by the first s6 premiere ad) but using mostly s6 footage. Fans of Cuddy will especially love a few parts...

LONDON (AP) -- Dr. Gregory House has long battled the blues. Now, the actor who plays the acerbic physician plans to play them.

Warner Music Entertainment said Monday that British actor Hugh Laurie has signed a deal to record an album of New Orleans-inspired blues.

"I am drunk with excitement at this opportunity," Laurie said in a statement. "I know the history of actors making music is a checkered one, but I promise no one will get hurt."

Despite his note-perfect American accent on Fox's "House," Laurie is a longstanding member of Britain's acting establishment, famous for his turns in the "Blackadder" comedies and as Bertie Wooster in "Jeeves and Wooster." In 2007, Laurie was made a member of the Order of the British Empire.

On "House," Laurie's character often plays piano and the guitar. According to his record company, Laurie is a predominantly self-taught pianist because, in a very House-like move, he had "creative differences" with his childhood teacher.

The album is to be produced by Grammy winner Joe Henry, who has also worked with Ani Di Franco, Elvis Costello, and Loudon Wainwright III.

Earlier this month, Laurie received his fifth Emmy nomination for his portrayal of House.

Funny thing is, when I was a kid I used to wonder why British singers when they were actually singing did so "in American accents" :haha: c'mon I can't be the only kid who got confused by that.

okay I apologize, it honestly never occurred to me at all that talking about a casting thing like that that's been made quite public would be considered spoilery.

And btw here's a whole bunch of set photos I found from the s7 premiere.

That song became famous on its own. And is awesome. Check out Elbow. 8)

That album will be good I imagine.

Well, honestly I guess his character is the lucky one considering his flaws. But ya know, Hugh is hot.

So in a recent interview David Shore said this season the opening credits will finally be changed. It'll likely just be the addition of names, but still it bums me out. I've absolutely loved that despite all the casting changes, it's remained exactly the same since season 1.
