I don't go all uber-nerd very often, but I do over Civ, which I think I've been playing since I was 10. I'll do the mod thing, get wrapped up in scenarios, do the forum thing... nothing else comes close.

Y'all have a style of play? I'm total expansionist with a military tilt. Always start out with Rome, too. I love having a massive army on the doorstep of a ragged country's capital and raking them over the coals. Fuck all that science noise.

I'm pretty similar, parch. My favourite commander was Genghis Khan in Civ IV. He gets an adequate military backing laughably early.

I'm a peaceful builder, and I try to overwhelm with culture and economic power.

I wish I didn't know this was coming out.

Here's a civnerd thing: I've been wishing for them to use hexagonal spaces since civ ii came out in 1996. Really happy to see that finally incorporated.

Same. I always like to take at least three or four cities with culture.

Those guys look like they know how to throw a party! LOL.

The game looks cool, but hope it would be available on PS3

I just got into civ 4 again recently and now this? There goes my free time

Looks pretty cool. They've revamped combat too. They're trying to reduce the SoD (stack of doom) effect. They kind of did in Civ 4.

I'm curious to how the hexagonal will affect strategy. I think it will be sweet.
