Since this was inspired by a story in my local paper I'm putting this here, but if Mods feel it's better in GD, obviously do your thing.
I rarely look at the general news at the times I go thru my local paper, but couldn't help but notice this one a few days ago. These two girls (21 and 23) from my own hometown were busted in a prostitution ring based out of the airport. It said how they were 2 of 9 people arrested, at the time I thought only they had their full names and photos published because only they were of age.
Between her photo, the ebonics-like way in which she describes herself, the level of class that just oozes from all the many posts on the wall...
But anyway I figure it was a good spot to ask the question -- do you think prostitution should be legal? There's the old argument about pornstars, how they're having sex for money, after all. And the idea that perhaps you could just tax the shit out of it and help local economies, not to mention legalizing it can make it safer for the women, etc.
I looked for them on facebook I looked for them on facebook I looked for them on facebook I looked for them on facebook I looked for them on facebook I looked for them on facebook I looked for them on facebook I looked for them on facebook I looked for them on facebook I looked for them on facebook

You would have to make STD test mandatory and most prostitutes would not pass the required tests. The girls with STD's would then go on to spread their nasty diseases to other Johns and STD's would double. Maybe open up some clean whore houses like they do in Nevada, but I would never condone a woman standing on a street corner to sell her body. Regardless if it's legal or not prostitution brings the wrong type of crowd to any neighborhood.

Thanks for making the one post that's actually the most on topic. My fault I suppose for expecting any different. Blows my mind how much my behavior is on so many other peoples' minds here.
