The church holds 700. Cool.

A message from Arkansas Take Action:
Our goal for this evening is toincrease awareness of the continued injustice visited upon Jason Baldwin, Damien Echols, and Jessie Misskelley and provide an opportunity for supporters to collectively express hope for their exoneration andfreedom.
On September 30th, theArkansas Supreme Court will hear oral arguments in Damien Echols's appeal for a new trial. New DNA testing and other powerful forensicevidence --combined with a sworn affidavit that the original jury foreman engaged in blatant misconduct that contributed to the jury's decision-- prove that Damien Echols, Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley werewrongfully convicted.

Looking at it a little more the benefit will be held not at the church but at a music hall. So while the setting won't be quite as intimate it's more likely Ed will play an actual set instead of just 2-3 songs. And at only $25 (pre-TM charges) it would probably be worth it if I was closer to Little Rock. Any RMers going?

"In case you have access to Sirius satellite radio and are interested, Sirius will simulcast “Voices for Justice,” a West Memphis 3 benefit concert/rally beginning at 7:30 p.m. CDT tomorrow (Sat.) night. The concert will feature two acoustic sets, one by Eddie Vedder and Natalie Maines and the other by Patti Smith and Johnny Depp. All four will speak on behalf of the WM3 as well. Also, there will be recorded messages (video for those at the concert) from the 3 wrongly imprisoned men and some brief comments by a few Little Rock WM3 supporters. I hope you’ll listen in."
If anyone has Sirius, please tape this! (obvious, I know)

Since it says it's gonna be a duet kind of like performance I see one of the following things happening:
- 1 or 2 Ed & Natalie duets and that's it. - Both get to sing about 3 or 4 songs individually and then sing 3 or 4 songs together. - a 10ish performance with just duets.
If Ed get's to play a few songs by himself I'm expecting dead man, satellite and maybe won't back down.
