ALIVE - the premier Pearl Jam tribute - invades North Beach in Chicago on Friday, April 8th. We're coming off of a very successful debut two weeks ago at Chicago City Limits and can't wait to hit the stage again. No opening act, just a whole night of Pearl Jam! You can check out MP3s, pics and more at http://www.pearljamalive.com.

I guess if the PJ trib doesn't work out, we can always turn to being a Creed tribute band. There are only about ten of them around Chicago anyway.
I understand what you mean by tribute threads. However, some people who really enjoy the atmosphere that a live music environment offers may be interested in checking out a Pearl Jam cover/tribute band in the lengthy time between Pearl Jam tours.

hey man dont let these fools get you down, keep rockin' until you feel like stoppin' (shitty pun, apologies to all). As long as you remain true to the music.

Well I took a listen to these guys and they dont sound bad. Now its not my thing though... I would feel wierd watching you guys play songs I grew up listening to Pearl Jam play... Eddie sing... any original material? Good Luck to you!
Screw that, go and see Even Flow on the 9th in Dekalb. they are spectacular
Agreed, they are very good. You don't play shows for four successful years without doing something right. But there is no reason why there can't be two regularly touring PJ tribs in the midwest. All I can ask for is the opportunity to check us out.
RiotActing05 - yes, we do also have a separate original band by the name of Pepperboy. The Pearl Jam trib is a way for us to go out and have a great time playing great music.
My apologies to those who dislike PJ tribute bands or feel threads like these are self-serving wastes of space. That wasn't my intention. If the mods want to lock this thread, that's fine. Sorry for the inconvenience.
Yes, Give this guy a break. Most of these cover band posters are ass holes and go off on the people making fun of them.... which makes it even more fun to give them a hard time.
At least this dude responds intelligently and sounds like he understands what Pearl Jam is about. I always give cover bands a hard time, but hell I'd trade my job setting in front of a computer all night to do what theyre doing. At least theyre playing to crowds, while my biggest crowd when I play is my girlfriend.
So good luck and keep doing what makes ya happy man.

PJ tribute ALIVE returns to Mickey Finn's! This has always been a cool room to play, so come on up (or come on down if you're in Wisconsin) to Libertyville and check it out! No opening act, just a full night of PJ tunes.
saw you guys over the summer, great show, i was the guy who requested satan's bed, when are you coming back to champaign?
Hey , good to hear from you! Bass player Justin here. we are tryin to get back to Canopy in March or April. We were going to play Feb 17 at Club Lava, but by the time we got back to them we had already booked the show.
Hopefully next time we get a better at the Canopy!
Excited about the new song and upcoming album?!?! What better way to satisfy your PJ craving than with with a tight ass tribute band! Come check out ALIVE as they play Saturday night at the Wise Fools Pub in Chicago (Lincoln PArk). Here's the Info:
I appreciate you guys playing pearl jam, but the music is just awful. However you guys are better than Evenflow. We have way too many pearl jam tribute bands out there that think they are actually decent. There is only one pearl jam tribute that is a real tribute to pearl jam and thats "Ten". I have seen these guys in NYC twice now and they amaze me. Check out "I Got ID" on there website. You will be blown away by the guitar solos at the end. It is the exact duplicate of the origninal recording. No other tribute band is able to reproduce what they can. Period.
