Whoo hoo, michelle's a silver slicker ! Love that piece. I'll have to get some info from my sister about a gal in Canada that sells silver clay at a reasonable price and fb message it to you. May or may not be a good deal for you depending on shipping cost.

I can get 20 grams for about $19. metalclaysupply.com (nice site for tools, etc) The gal in Canada sells it cheaper than that, I think. It's a bulk discount price though.
I'll fb message her site link to you as soon as I hear back from my sister.

Yes! metalclaysupply.com is a great site. That's the cheapest I've found it. They also have a tutorial type site called Metalclayguru.com.
I'll still get that Canadian's contact info too. I haven't seen my sister yet. I don't want to bug her on her day off either, because we already spend nearly every day together. hahaha!

My camera stopped working on me yesterday. I couldn't get the fucker to power on to save my life! SO frustrating. So I just resigned myself to the fact that I'd have to buy a new camera. PFT!
I have two digital cameras, so I tried the other one. The latter not having the greatest macro feature. That one wouldn't power on either! Neither of them worked even after charging both batteries. I was freaking out and dreading having to spend the $ to buy a new camera. UGH. Disheartening.
I tried one more time today, before price shopping. I got power. Weird. Anyways...new stuff!
15 gauge cuffs.
Not sure that $175ea is a 'fair' price, but that's what I'm asking for these because I have some consignment contracts to consider.
I've been working on a design concept, somewhat based on the Taijitu symbol. A round cabochon, bezel set, with 'hugging' elements; the 'rusty' twirly things Chudbud was talking about.
A gal pal of mine from NYC asked me if I had anything turquoise, so I decided to use turquoise stones in these bracelets.
These two stones came from the same mine in Manassa, Co. I didn't cut these stones. My teacher cut them.
This piece of turquoise I did cut though. I'm happy with the way it turned out. the polka-dots are the actual turquoise. No idea which mine it came from though.
All of the silver I used in these bracelets was recycled. I used nearly 3 ounces of scrap that I have collected from here and there; including an old silver spoon.

very nice...my sister is now experimenting with peices of glass and melting them with a burner...they turned out very nice and can be used in a ring or something....

Is she fusing glass now? That's fun. I wonder if you can use it in metal clay? I think you can. Also there's a range of faceted stones that you can safely embed in metal clay and fire them without cracking or discoloring.
Just got home from the Denver mineral shows and a bead show. Tee-hee! Picked up some turquoise rough (Hubei) and a nice selection of bead strands. Fun stuff.

yes..you can use them in metalclay...glass melts at a higher temperature...and we also tried the gemstones...just put them in the clay and bigger ones in a little ball and fold around the stone...

Awesome. I've fused glass before. I just don't get an opportunity to very often. Glass makes for some nice cabs for jewelry.
My sister finally texted me the web URL for the gal in Canada. Not sure if it would be a good deal for you considering the shipping, but I'll fb message it to you the contact info. I haven't use metal clay all that much. Mostly to do the calla lily pendants.
This past weekend I saw a demonstration of Fretz hammers. OMG. Expensive........but the things one could do with these hammers and a stake set.
