They're playing the Showbox No Code warm up tonight, just wondering if there's anywhere to download these shows after they've been broadcast on pj radio? Is anyone out there capturing them?

thanks in advance.

They're only playing the already-circulating audience sources of the old shows, as far as I know - the guys running PJ Radio don't have access to anything from "the vault".

There's probably a torrent or download link around for that Showbox show. If you can't find it, I could probably arrange something.

Thanks fella,
Just that Rob mentioned it on Facebook earlier today, think he has something to do with Pjradiop, and he was saying it's a soundboard. No matter. Thanks.

Weird - they've never played any soundboard stuff that wasn't already "out there" before, but hell, if they are perhaps I should be tuning in more often!

I should put together a demo tape and send it to pearl jam radio. Maybe they'd hire me.

Throw in one of those elusive Lukin II's from the euro tour and you'd be a shoe in for the position :|

I heard 10C pays their employees in leftover tour posters.

It was an audience recording.

I don't recall saying anywhere that the Showbox show was a soundboard. Believe me, that's the ultimate goal.

That would be incredibly cool, Rob - I hope the guys in the band/management can work something out to allow that one day.

No it was my mistake. Made an assumption that it'd be soundboard 'cos where it was being played. Thought all those shows from there were soundboard but I havent once listened to pj radio. sorrys.

PJ Radio is playing a Brad song right now ("Oh My Goodness"). Is this characteristic of how Brad normally sounds? It really sucks.

Are you saying that a soundboard recording exists of this show, but PJ radio needs permission from the band/management to play it?

I'm pretty sure the band has their own soundboard recordings of every show post 1993 or something.

Very interesting; they should spread the jam

Yeah, Brett Eliason (Pearl Jam's live sound engineer from pretty much the beginning to, I think, 2006) stated he basically recorded everything - beginning with simple cassette recordings from the soundboard but moving to a multi-track set-up from the 1993 tour onwards. They could potentially release "official boots" for any of those shows.

I don't think any of those recordings have been given to Rob @ PJ Radio to play yet, though like he said, that's the ultimate goal.

As was pointed out in the Death on Two Legs thread (and has been mentioned before), the hold-up has been interpreted as being due to Sony having the rights over the live recordings made while the band were signed to them. A guy on the Pit actually told me that he has an insider at Sony and confirmed the band had been negotiating for some time to buy the rights to their old live material and they'd very recently finally come to an agreement, so who knows.

If this is even remotely true...it could be bonerific.
