There's apparently one more top secret project Bungie's working on after this; I'm guessing Halo 4 or a Forerunner game.

Will this be another overpriced expansion pack like ODST or a fully realized game? I'm leery of Bungie these days, as I feel they're headed down the Lucasfilm road with their product.

It'll probably just be another ODST-length game.

This is looking better every day. I haven't played Halo since part 2, but I think I'm ready for some more over the top Halo fun again. Looks like Bungie is pulling out all the stops for their last halo game.

New trailer (not pre-rendered!)

I can't wait to see what all of the nerds come up with with this ridiculous new map editor:

Multiplayer should be ridiculous fun with all of the new abilities (jetpacks, cloaking, etc.). A nice change of pace from the realism of Modern Warfare.

Didn't play ODST or Halo Wars but this looks pretty awesome.

Downloaded the new trailer on X-box live last night. It looks even better than I thought. And the draw distance! People criticized Halo 3 for not looking as good as Killzone and Modern Warfare but Halo has a much larger depth of view which means they can't have as complex enemy models. But it sounds like they found a programming shortcut around it for Reach and it now looks leaps and bounds better.

Only 6 weeks away!

So far, so good. Lots to stop and stare at, environment-wise.

There are also lots of guns.

Campaign is tough. Difficulty has been increased big time.

Finally got this last night. Played a couple campaign missions on heroic and goofed around in firefight mode. This game is just pure joy. I forgot how satisfying it is showing grunts in the face. The jetpack is nirvana.

I'm pretty sure the consensus that this is the deepest, most well-polished Halo ever. What did you hear specifically?

I enjoyed it my first time out. Firefight is a little like Zombie mode in World at War.

I haven't really "played" halo since Halo 2 (unless you count Halo Wars)...but I have to say that Reach is definitely the best of the bunch. I'm just glad Master Chief doesn't have any part in this because I just think that character got incredibly stale after Halo 2.

The campaign is fantastic with great storytelling, the firefight is incredibly fun with friends, and I haven't felt a rush like this playing the multiplayer since Call of Duty 4. The music is spot on and definitely a lot of depth with character customization, theater and file share, and waypoint.

This should definitely be in your collection.

fb quotes from a couple friends

I dont like shooting a guy 4 times in the chest and they are still alive, not my kinda thing

to not totally trash it, graphics are great, the story mode is ok. I just fell into playing the online multiplayer thanks to modern warfare

my kid was kind of evil yelling at ppl online last night.. he shot someone a few times and then they killed him---- was a loud f u and screaming at ppl he's going to need anger mng

That's why halo blows and modern warefare is amazing

Got halo about a week before it was released. Not impressed at all

....basically when i talk to em they say it aint shit compared to cod
