I wrote an iPhone app that plays flac files, like the ones we trade here. I'm sending out a few copies to beta testers before I release it. If you've got flac files and you'd like to help test, please post below with the kind of device you have (iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch), as well as the software version.
Thanks! I only need a few people, but we'll see what the response is.

The dude writes ipod apps and just finished one that's a flac player and was looking for beta testers. I posted a picture of admiral akbar. I was hoping we'd get a tired laugh and then move on to the topic at hand. It sounded like a cool application.

Leehro, which iPod Touch software version is required?
On iPod touch and iPhone, you need 4.0 or later. 4.0 makes it a lot easier to get big files in, there's a panel in iTunes where you can just drag them in. On iPad, 3.2 has this feature so it works just fine.

That does sound cool. I hope it works out. My ipods are too old, but one day...
Well the funny thing is that I have a 2005 ipod (the first video one), on which I run rockbox (http://www.rockbox.org/) on. Plays FLAC well and sounds great. I love the iPhone but couldn't part with the old iPod until I could get a flac player for the iPhone, so I built one.

Does my 4th gen iPod Touch 32 gb have to be jailbroken to test out your flac player? if not then I'd love to try it out. Other wise I have an 8gb 2nd gen iPod Touch that is jailbroken running iOS 4.0
