FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) -- Arkansas coach Houston Nutt has decided that his players who are caught loafing will no longer wear pink jerseys during practices in an effort to avoid offending breast cancer survivors.

Nutt said Monday that he had received negative reaction from people when they saw the players in the pink jerseys. Breast cancer survivors and their supporters often wear pink ribbons and the nationwide Race for the Cure, which raises funds for breast cancer research, uses the color pink as well.

That's the last thing I want to do, is to offend a cancer victim, someone who I know how strong and brave they are," Nutt said. "That was the last thing on our mind, to discredit somebody who has shown a lot of toughness. I've had members of my family who had cancer."

Nutt said the coaches are considering another color, possibly burnt orange, the color of Arkansas rival Texas.

Take away the military and large monopolies on everything, and America would be the most self destructive, dangerous third world country ever to exist.

Oh wait...

I remember Houston Nutt--he used to coach Boise State years ago.

I would have thought football players would be too "manly" to wear pink, anyway.

Yep, another moment of me missing a critical word. This time, it was "loafing".

Not unless you have a matching livestrong bracelet and a pink Yankees cap.

Everything these days pisses someone off. Dont people with breast cancer have more to worry about than football players wearing "their" color?

No kidding. By this logic, anyone wearing pink must be a heartless asshole.

Of course it was the last thing on your mind. Because there's no correlation between players wearing pink and cancer ribbons.

That would either offend morons or women with breast implants.

Ugh...I am more offended at the idea that if a football player is not working hard enough, he should be punished by showing that he is a "weak girl" by wearing a weak girl color: pink.

But whatever, if men want to use the feminine state of being as an insult to other men, then so be it.

I just don't understand it...most men want "something" from women. Why purposely insult us and risk the denial???

That's been going on since the history of man and you ladies are still putting out. Why exactly should we fear denial?

Anyone with an ounce of brains would understand that the pink was more than likely to imply/infer that they are "girls" for not doing what they are supposed to be doing during practice, just like the military likes to use the phrase "Ladies" when yelling at the ranks.

Whatever. People are too easily offended and should grow up.

I would think the players would be more motivated if they had to wear their rival's colors.
