Watched it off the DVR. Definitely different but I liked it. Not what I was expecting, thought it was going to be a actual time taping of a TGS episode. Didn't seem like a real episode using the SNL sets, studio audience and the way it was it was lit. The Dr. Spaceman & Jon Hamm "commericals" were both funny. Liked having Julia Louis Dreyfuss playing Tina Fey's Liz. Kenneth still got on my nerves. Not that the characters seemed "real" but Alec Baldwin seemed to the most unlike his usual presence. I read that someone likened it to a really good SNL with several strong skits and an extra cameo or two thrown out. I think that's a good comparison.

Ive only seen it once or twice but the few times I did I laughed quite hysterically. It is a good show.

Jack: Don’t you ever google yourself? Tracy: Sure I google myself all the time. Like when Angie’s not in the mood or I’m alone in a hotel. Jack: Tracy, you do know that googling yourself means looking yourself up on the internet. Tracy: I did not know that. That explains why Liz Lemon was so cool the other day. [Flashback] Tracy: Liz Lemon, you mind if I Google myself in your office? Liz: Sure, Tracy. Tracy: Can I use your computer? Liz: How else are you going to do it?

This is a thing with women that always gets me, invariably when they're being uber-formal they put their hair up, and so often I think that looks worse than having it down and just styled nicely somehow.
Anyway, I'm wondering like hell now which role she was writing for Jon Hamm back in the origins of 30 Rock (assuming he was telling the truth, which I think he was). You don't suppose it was for Jack?
okay the more I've thought about it yea it obviously had to have been Jack (the only other conceivable possibility might be the director Pete, but that's too small of a role), I guess now after all these years it's hard to think about that only because Baldwin has so totally owned that character from the start and been so awesome at it.

Just finished watching last night's episode, holy mother of god how far this show can fall. I think it's made me realize, this season has really been pretty bumpy and inconsistent, at best. Last night probably the worst episode so far, I don't recall laughing a single time. And they were pretty heavy on all the self awareness type of jokes, even for them.

The only reason to tune to NBC on Thursdays now is for Community. That show is awesome. The rest of this lineup sucks now, though there's a couple good scenes/exchanges in Parks & Rec (and I guess there's a couple in 30 Rock).

Actually the most recent 2 episodes I thought were a good improvement on that one I was posting about a few weeks ago. Speaking of Parks & Rec it's got the new EW cover story as "the smartest sitcom on TV". Maybe I'll start to catch up on it.
This is still one of the only four shows that I actually watch, but I'm starting to think I ought to cut it down to three. It's been pretty hit or miss.
I thought this week's was at least better than the last few. "I'm sorry, I'm being rude. Do you want to try meth?"
