Two questions.
Quote:
02/05/95 – Moore Theater: Seattle, WA (Fan Club show)
set: Jack Irons chant/Last Exit, Spin the Black Circle, Tremor Christ, Corduroy/Not for You, Animal, W.M.A., Lukin, Glorified G, Daughter, Rearviewmirror, Immortality, Blood
enc 1: Satan’s Bed, Black, Porch, Garden, Go
enc 2: Better Man, Let My Love Open the Door
Is there a non-bootleg source of this show that has the songs in the order they were performed?
Quote:
07/12/06 – Henry Fonda Theater, Hollywood, CA, USA
set: (Interstellar Overdrive)/Corduroy, Corduroy, World Wide Suicide, Dissident, Severed Hand, Unemployable, Given To Fly, I Am Mine, Grievance, Even Flow, Gone, Lukin, Not For You/(Modern Girl), Inside Job, Do The Evolution, Rearviewmirror
first encore: Parachutes, Masters of War, Crazy Mary, I Must Not Think Bad Thoughts, Wasted Reprise, Life Wasted
second encore: Big Wave, Comatose, Why Go, I Believe In Miracles
third encore: Alive, Indifference
Did any recording ever surface of this show? It has a really cool setlist and the band were on fire during that West Coast run, I bet this show ruled.

2/5/95 - Not sure what you mean. the bootleg version ("Piss Bottle Men") has the whole show in order, and I believe there was a direct DAT transfer done as well.
7/12/06 - Yes, a great audience recording is available and I believe widely circulated.

Weird, my copy of 2/5/95 (which derives from the Audio Archives) doesn't have the songs in order, the tracklisting is the same up until Immortality but then begins to diverge from how the show was actually performed:
Immortality, Garden, Go, Blood, Satan's Bed, Black, Porch, Better Man, Let My Love Open The Door
(So, in effect, Garden and Go have been edited into the show earlier than they were played - see setlist above).

I mustn't have been paying attention at the time, I'll track it down eventually.

was 7/12/06 not released officially or something?
Nope - from 2006 there was this show and two in Hawaii that never got officially released.

Was there a reason for that?
I think because they were "extra shows", not part of the tour proper - was the LA one a benefit or something? Not sure, but it didn't make a whole lot of sense anyway as the Portland show wasn't part of the tour really either from memory, it was a benefit show as well. Similarly, they released the shows in the US where they supported Tom Petty, but not the one in Hawaii where they supported U2 - beats me.

disc two of the bootleg goes as follows:
Go Blood Satan's Bed Black Porch Garden Better Man Let My Love Open the Door
I will have to see if there's a straight DAT transfer. I'll report back once I find out.

The first Hawaii show (12.02.06 Blaisedell Center; Honolulu, HI - 163 min. - PJ headliner) was released officially. The second show (12.09.06 Aloha Stadium; Honolulu, HI - 70 min. - PJ opening for U2) was not.

oh, right--forgot about that one. if it wasnt taped, it didnt happen
regarding 2/5/95, there is no direct DAT transfer (I have confirmed this), so I guess we have to assume the bootleg is the correct order.

Would it not be more likely that the TFT setlist is the correct order and (for whatever reason) the bootleg company altered the order when producing their disc? That sort of thing used to happen all the time with boots.
If there really is a DAT source of that one, then sweet.

I think by 1995 most of the PJ bootlegs coming out were fairly close to complete. that bootleg was on Chrome Hearts, and the only other bootleg I remember from them is the 3/29/94 show (Hotpoint I think), which was complete and in order as far as I know. it's kind of up to the listener, but I'll trust the recording over 5H's notes. hopefully we get a DAT to settle the debate.

TFT isn't perfect. There weren't cell phones or relays back then. Setlists were either written down, "remembered," or listened to from a recording.
A recording without cuts should be trusted over all else.

I see the issue, the CC entry for that show is probably wrong. I'm listening now on pjbootlegs and will see if it sounds continuous.
gotta love it.
Yeah, har har With everything else i've got going on, refining a 15-year-old setlist isn't exactly top priority. i did have a meeting cancelled so i thought i'd give it a listen. and the result is ...
I'm still confused.
Mainly because pjbootlegs site has track breaks, so you can't tell if the tracks are in order. and also the tracks are mislabeled, so they aren't what you think they are. and i don't trust the order. after "18. Garden", actually "Porch", you can hear the start of "Garden", which is actually "13. Go".
Will go back to my original idea which is to check the DAT i have at home.

I just popped in disc 2 and am listening to it on headphones so I will report back. if you do have a straight DAT, that would be the authority of course.
EDIT: after listening to the whole disc:
first thought, damn these 95 shows are so f'ing awesome!
second, the Porch->Garden transition goes like this:
Porch-> strumming intro chords of Garden->Ed says "we'll do one more"->track break->Garden
so that seems clean and accurate.
third, I dont hear anything on the disc that leads me to believe these songs were spliced/rearranged in any way.
fourth, god, we're a bunch of nerds.
