I had one today and it inspired me to make this thread.

I was grilling some fresh spinach to put on a burger today and I meant to coat the pan with a little extra virgin but grabbed some hot sauce instead. The funny thing is that even after I did it, I didn't realize that I was doing it until much later. Me being the adventurous person that I am decided to roll with it and the result was a subtle, yet clear cajun finish when I ate the burger. It crept up on me more than if I had coated the patty in hot sauce, and I really liked it.

Who else has "happy accidents" in the kitchen that they will try again?

I accidentally bought too much asparagus last night to have grilled with my steak. So what Imma do is this: I have a little less shrimp left than I'd like to make my normal shrimp dinner. So I'll chop up the asparagus and have it simmer with the shrimp and add that to my meal. I'm sure it'll be great.

This is how I discovered the best way to cook broccoli. My only pot was dirty and I was lazy. So, I heated up some sesame oil in the frypan and seared the broccoli in it just long enough to make it hot and crispy. Oh man is it delicious.

It's not designed to be funny. It's designed to be a way of life.

A chicken quesadilla made with pepper jack cheese is one of the greatest things I've ever had.

Reid's 12:10 am Baguette

small loaf of french bread, sliced in half
1 link of smoked venison, cooked
2 1/2 oz cup of red sauce saved from local taco truck
four shakes parmesan cheese powder
3 red onion slices

Split french bread and venison with knife, lay venison on bottom, then coat with red sauce and parmesan cheese. Top with red onions, and microwave on high for 30 seconds. Serve upside down and cut diagonally. :li:

Would it be ok to have the 12:10AM baguette at say, 6:45PM? Some people try to avoid eating after 8PM, you know...

It probably won't be nearly as satisfying, considering it's just a munchies recipe.

I realized that was going to come off as shtickish as soon as I hit submit, but I really did mean it.
