Ive been trying to get away from mixed drinks and just having straight liquor on ice.

Hendricks Gin was fantastically good. I have a couple fifths of Tanguaray Ten hanging around, which ill probably tackle tonight.
For Vodka id rather go Mid-High, or dirt cheap. Smirnoff is useless to me. Give me Vox... or Crystal Palace.

Gin and tonic is tough to beat, but old-fashioneds and mojitos might be my cocktails of choice.

I used to drink any kind of vodka you put in front of me. Straight.

Now it pretty much has to be Grey Goose or Belvedere. If I'm mixing, I'm less picky.

All three are excellent. For my money, a good Manhattan is tops.

Thats pretty much me. If im mixing, id rather just get a whole lot for cheap... But If its straight, it has to be Stoli or better.

Outstanding when made right.

Some idiots make it too sweet (too much cherry brandy, not enough scotch). There's a place in DUMBO called 'Jack The Horse' that does 'em just right.

The first "drink" I ever had was a shot of Stoli Vanilla.

you can't really expect to be taken seriously debating the merits of stimulus versus austerity whilst drinking a mojito, can you?

do you think i'd ever order such a drink around anyone willing and able to engage in such a debate? that's why i'm so intent on being cocktail-diverse
