While it would be nice for PJ, Muse seems to be the hot ticket. I know they just won the AMA for best rock band or alt rock or whatever.

All of those bands/artists have been around over 15 years. Do they just not like newer music or is the state of music that poor?

Newer music goes under "Best Alternative Music". But yeah they should call this one "Best Dad & Mom Rock Album" (hello Kevin Davis).

What are the release guidelines for consideration? It seems like Back Spacer and Le Noise shouldn't have been eligible in the same year.

I think the eligibility period is from September N-1 to September N. Or something like that.

I'm a PJ fanatic, but if you exclude the Jeff Beck album because I haven't heard it, I think Backspacer is the worst album nominated.
