Now that the Billy Madison reference is out of the way, any Miles Davis fans here? He's a top five artist for me, and I undoubtedly own more of his albums proper than any other artist (probably because he has more to own, but nevertheless...).
Good enough. Like I said, feel free to nix this one from the board. But there's no way I'm searching through 54 pages spanning five years worth of search results every time I want to start a thread (which is rare) just to see if someone else once in the history of this website had the itch to start one on the same topic.
All those '60 gigs with Trane were outstanding. The European tapers really had their act together getting all those gigs recorded as nicely as they did. Paris is my favorite.
I really love "Silent Way"--probably my favorite Miles album.
I almost loved Miles, but jazz is the one thing that I ever cared for that my wife HATED, so I kinda got cut off at the knees.
I still have a bunch of his records, and I break them out from time to time, but not as much as I probably would have if that momentum hadn't died.
