That's my name for these people.

Anyone else get those young men coming into your office with a duffel bag full of knock off shit and try and sell it to you. They put their bags down and start taking all this shit out before you can tell them to leave no one is interested.

I mean really how much rejection can you handle in a day of people telling you to get out of their offices. Wouldn't flipping burgers be more satisfying. At least you could sneak a free fry here and there, ya know. I would feel like a big slime ball if I had to do that.

I mean in a way I feel sorry for them but it's quite comical when they stand there and start begging.

We just had one come in and I heard the receptionist tell him we are not insterested and he said back to her "come on don't you want a drill?" in this whiney voice. A drill people! Does it look like little tiny cute Tara might want a drill?

I don't get it.

You should put a sign on the front door that says NO SOLICITATIONS.

I'd scream at somebody that came to try to sell me a drill at work.

I see them fuckers all the time. Bars, even when I go bowling. They come and try to sell me Steelers shirts at these rediculous prices when they are 100% fake. I just don't get it. You tell them you're not interested, and they stay there and beg you for you to buy something. It's really bad when someone actually buys one, the duffel bag salesman gets all excited and stays longer.

This is a really weird phenomenon. I have never seen such a person in my life.

We don't lock our office doors James. We are a small business we don't have security and shit. We have clients in and out all day.

Put a goddam sign on the door. It's illegal for them to come in and try to sell you shit if you have a sign that says NO SOLICITATION.

I think I've told my boss to get one a couple times and he hasn't. I should mention it to him again.

Is it just a Pennsylvania thing? I've never had this experience either. I can't believe these morons just walk into a business and try and get you to buy crap merchandise.

Kelly, you should threaten to call security. Or just do what Kevin suggested and put up a sign.

they come around my hairdressers place all the time. Invariably, someone will come in selling shitty toys or bootlegged DVDs and of course no one ever purchases anything. So it's definitely not just a PA thing, though I never encountered it until i moved here.

People would recieve an "ole fashioned ass-whoopin'" if they tried to do that here in OK. You could not do that all day long without getting hurt. I'm sure it's the same way in TX. This explains me and James confusion.

My boss just came back from his appointment and I told him we really need to get Tara a no solicitation sign. The duffel bag boys are back.

You should have your boss come out when they're there and tell them that if they come back, he'll call the police and have them arrested for harassment. Or have him tell them that he's sure the cops would be interested to see what lovely counterfeit merchandise they're selling.

see this is the problem is that now a days you CANT give some one the everloving ass kick they have comming to them like in the olden days because youll get sued, lose your job and house, go to prison, become someones bitch, and get shanked in the shower by bruno one night after a gang rape.

We get them here all the time to. Ours sometimes "dress up" wearing a big flag-patterned Cat-in-the-Hat hat. Very weird.

Mayeb it is a PA thing?

The guys with the roses at bars kill me, to.

Here's the repellent, interrupt them as many times as possible with the quote "I have no authoriy in the purchasing of any products/services for _______" as soon as they start the next sentence, interrupt halfway through and repeat. at least it works on the phone.
